I drive with R. to the cemetery, and tread the very same path which, sixteen years ago, I followed behind my brother’s coffin [1]! The grave is well tended. I wish to have it enclosed.
[1] Daniel Liszt, the third of the three children of Marie d’Agoult and Franz Liszt, died at the age of 20 on December 13, 1859 in Berlin and was buried in the Old Cathedral Cemetery of St. Hedwig (Berlin).
