Cosima Wagner Sunday 5th (5th March, 1876)

No tidings yet from the children. Visits from nephew Jachmann and the Eckerts; in the afternoon I went to Mimi ^[1], then to the Hülsens; R. has an interview with Simson in reference to the Fürstner affair, and returns satisfied. —

Dinner at the house of the Schleinitzes; in the evening to “Armida”^[2] to hear Frau Voggenhuber,^[3] who seems to us better than she had been represented to us. Herr Niemann, on the other hand, makes upon us a melancholy impression.
