Boni and Loldi were celebrated today; the parrot arrives, called Platho, after the associate of Herr Feustel who chose him! Great delight among the children. Frau Voggenhuber accepts the role of Sieglinde. —

Dr Heigel sends from Berlin a novel whose heroine is named Cosima,[1] a strange sensation. The children go to Fantaisie, I remain at home with Fidi.


[1] “Benediktus”, 1875, a novella by Karl August (von) Heigel (1835-1905), German writer, belonged to the Munich circle of poets around Geibel and Heyse, was editor in Berlin from 1865-75, later Riva on Lake Garda; wrote dramas, novels and stories.
